A little about me.

I have over 25 years of experience in managing, litigating, and resolving complex litigation.

I began my legal career as an Assistant Attorney General in the Colorado Attorney General’s office, where I worked on the tobacco litigation, multistate antitrust matters, and consumer protection cases throughout the state.

After that, I transitioned into private practice, where, as a partner at three different law firms, I ran complex class actions and cases brought by state attorneys general and local governments. I had leadership roles on some of the largest and most impactful cases, many of which involved health care and the pharmaceutical industry. (For my full CV click here.)

What I can do for you.

My experience can make your experience in complex litigation better from beginning to end. Some of the things I can help you do include:

  • Evaluating case “pitches” and potential litigation

  • Helping you decide whether to become involved in a complex case, and how to best position yourself if you do

  • Providing an independent evaluation of responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for outside counsel

  • Acting as a “fractional” general counsel by overseeing outside counsel teams in litigation, freeing up your staff to work on other cases and pursue policy work within the office

  • Reviewing budgets and invoices submitted by outside counsel and/or vendors

  • Analyzing settlement offers.

It’s all very simple, or else it’s all very complex, or perhaps it’s neither, or both.
